Aryan Khan was in the news since being detained in The Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 in a cruise ship raid. After appearing before an Holiday court the following day the son of Shah Rukh Khan was refused bail on the morning of October 4, and was kept in NCB custody until when he was transferred to judicial custody on Thursday 7 October. He was not granted bail on October 8 after which an appeal was in the process.
The bail hearing for Aryan which started on Wednesday and continues today in the Mumbai sessions court the hearing was moved back. The hearing, the third hearing since the arrest of Aryan nearly two weeks back, is now scheduled to be held later in the month.
According to Bar And Bench, on Twitter and their site, Aryan Khan has failed to obtain bail, even today. The publication also stated that Mumbai Sessions court is expected to make an announcement regarding his bail application on the 20th of October.
In the course of the hearing, the NCB declared the following: Aryan Khan is a frequent user of illegal drugs for the past few years. Referring to the nation’s policy regarding Narcotics Drugs, Khan’s counsel Advocate Amit Desai claimed that he, as an end-user, was affected by the use of drugs. “You’re an individual at the bottom of the chain; you’re the consumer. You’re an individual affected by the menace of drugs in accordance with the government’s National policy regarding Narcotic Drugs,” he defended Khan.
After being transferred to Judicial custody on the 7th of October, Aryan Khan has been being held in the Arthur Road jail. According to NCB officials in the 2nd of October search of the cruise ship The agency was able to seize thirteen grams of cocaine and 21gm charas and 22 tablets of MDMA and 5gm of mephedrone as well as more than 1.3 lakh in cash.
